Data Warehouse - Data for Members of Parent-Child Dimension

* With regular dimension, direct relationship between rows in fact table and individual dimension members
* With parent-child all members are of the same entity type; e.g. Employee

* Set the “Member With Data” property to:
- “Leaf members only” – allows aggregates with no associated data in the fact table
- “Nonleaf data hidden” - < define>
- “Nonleaf data visible” -

* Rollups can be customized:
- Use column to specify an unary operator
- Specify custom rollup formula with Multidimensional Expression (MDX)
