Wat Phra Si Rattanasasadaram,
generally called the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in English
or Wat Phra Gaeo in Thai, or Wat Phra Kaew,
is a temple purpose-built to house a Buddha image carved
from a large solid piece of green jadite.
Located in the historic centre of Bangkok, within the grounds of the Grand Palace,
it enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha).
